Air Conditioning ReplacementAir conditioning replacement is a scary thought for some.  You may worry, “How much is this going to cost?” or “Do I really need to replace my old system?”  Actually, air conditioning replacement doesn’t have to be scary.  In fact, sometimes it can bring really great news.  Did you know that you can save money in the long run by getting a new HVAC system?

Your older air conditioning system may be working (for now), but it may also be costing you a lot more in energy bills than what you could be paying.  New units are much more energy efficient.  In fact, if you choose an Energy Star unit, you can save up to 20% on your monthly cooling costs.

In addition to those money savings, there are also rebates available in many areas from energy companies if you replace your system with a new, energy-efficient one.

Consider the repairs that you may need to make with an older unit.  The older your unit is, the more likely repairs will be necessary and possibly frequent in the near future.

It may be nice to stick with what you have and not worry about paying for the initial cost of a new HVAC system.  If your unit is working fine and your bills are manageable each month, it may be worth it for you to just keep your current system and put time and effort into maintaining it like you should.  However, if your unit is noisy and already needs repairs or is severely outdated, you may want to consider air conditioning replacement.
